Newick Folk

Bringing Folk Music to Everyone!

Getting Giggy With It

Last weekend we played a wonderful gig for the Newick Twinning association.

It was a balmy summers evening and an audience comprised of Newick residents and our French Guests from Itteville seemed to enjoy all our old standards including Haste to the Wedding, Lily the Pink, My old man’s a Dustman and the Nautical Trilogy that ends up with Martin’s stunning rendition of the Sailor’s Hornpipe.

Melanie, the organiser was kind enough to write “On behalf of Newick Twinning, I just wanted to thank you all again for providing us with superb entertainment last night at the Barn Centre.. it was great fun, the atmosphere was super and I hope that you all enjoyed it as well.” – We did Melanie – we did.

And we have 3 lined up over the Jubilee weekend.

Saturday afternoon finds us at the Railway Lands festival at the Linklater pavilion in Lewes, Sunday night finds us at the Royal Oak in Newick and on Monday evening we’re playing at a barn dance on the village green with Jenny Walton as caller. We look forward to seeing any of our friends at these events.
