Sussex Ceilidh Band
If you want to mark a special occasion with traditional dancing, you can now book us as a Ceilidh band to provide a complete evening’s entertainment. After all – it’s a great way to give a party with a wide age range something fun to do because everyone can join in.Since 2013 we’ve played at a numerous weddings, significant parties and School and other local event. We would love to do the same for you.
We’ve added a piano and violin to our standard line up and work our inimitable caller, Jenny Walton, to give you a great evening.
A typical programme might include dances such as

Train and Tunnel
Bridge of Athlone
Cumberland Square
Oxo reel
Circle Waltz
Circassian circle
In between the dances we’ll sing you a few songs while you recover.

You get full PA plus caller ready to deliver 2 x 1 hour dance sets plus a few tunes and songs. Most of our repertoire is Irish or Scottish Tunes.
Our line up includes vocal/bouzouki/guitar (Karn), whistles/percussion (Martin), bass/vocal (Aldo), keyboard (“Professor” Roland Batty), violin (Rhiannon) and caller (Jenny)

So if you want a Ceilidh band who’ll make sure you have a good time, are flexible enough to work round your arrangements (catered events notoriously don’t run to time) and are fun and easy to work with look no further if you are South of the Thames and no further west than Southampton (although we’ll always make exceptions if we like you 🙂)
